Got the new Mattel, Barbie ‘The Look’ girls, and I’m disappointed that they have no articulation in their chest, it’s all one hard torso.  They do make beautiful African-American faces though, I just love this girl and her dress:

Sweet Tea was harder to photograph, the light just went through the rubber on her face and the camera couldn’t focus on her nose and mouth.  There are certain resin’s that do that as well.  The light just goes through them instead of reflecting.  It’s too bad, she’s really cute in a teenage way.  I’m pondering a teen angst high school story down the road. So many stories, not enough time to film them all. 

I’ve been attempting to sew gowns for the JATMAN awards.  I say attempting because most of the material is ending up in the trash can after I fail miserably.  I hate that I have to re-learn how to sew every time I do it because it’s been so long and my hands need to relearn the skill.  Plus, I was never that great at it to begin with, so what I want to make, and what I can actually make is a very wide divide and disappointment always follows.  But I’m stubborn… and poor, so I have to trudge on.  My dolls are most likely going to be embarrassed by their outfits, LOL.  Serves them right for being such divas and making me buy them so much stuff that they live a 1,000 times better than I do.
