Claudia & Gerard has begun!!

Weekly Posts are BAAAACK ya’ll!  I’m squeeling like a little girl because I’m so happy to start posting my novel/1:6 photo story.  I’ve been working on it for months, so I’m happy to finally start sharing it.  My story outline is at 35 episodes and counting…. This story’s going to last an entire year, or more.  So I really, really hope you like it.   I’ll be filming and writing it probably until fall.

Check out all my stories now have a viewer rating at top of the page so you know if a story’s kid-friendly or for adults only.

This one is the raciest one I’ve ever posted, so be warned.  There’s no violence, but there will be plenty  of sexy time, light cursing, and since it’s happening during 2020 Covid time, political stuff will come up as historical reference for the ‘hell’ year.   So strap in and get ready for lots of characters and drama of all kinds.  Thanks for reading!!

Potluck Samurai Episode 7 Is Up!

This will be the last episode of Potluck Samurai for now. I’m skipping over  the linked story ‘Hotel M’ and moving on to ‘Claudia & Gerard’ and its 30+ episodes, growing with every week.  I’ll start posting weekly, video, then story, then video in the next few weeks.

‘Claudia & Gerard’ is now my former novel completely rewritten and re-imagined.  The old characters I had have morphed into a different generation and it’s been both challenging and fascinating to write a story in the era of Covid.  It’s for ADULTS ONLY, can emphasize that enough.  It was supposed to be almost a trashy romance novel so there will be sex scenes.  I’m just deciding how much to show.   Coming very very soon! Can’t wait for you to see it!

Potluck Samurai Episode 6 is UP!!

It’s official, I’m SKIPPING the last Episode 8 of ‘Potluck Samurai’ as well as the linking story ‘Hotel M’ and starting the ‘Claudia and Gerard’ story.

After I post Episode 7 of ‘Potluck Samurai’ the story is going on hiatus until I’m done with ‘Claudia and Gerard’.  Trust me, I’m doing us both a favor.

Although, I warn you, it’s already looking to be 20+ episodes, I can’t stop stretching it out, but since it’s source material is a novel… it’s going to be much longer than anything I’ve done so far.   I’m already on Episode 6 filming, so building up a backlog is going to be pretty easy this time around. That means I should be able to start posting again weekly in the next couple of months, yea!

I’m having the time of my life setting up dioramas and filming again.  I just got a new camera light that’s super cool.  I’ll post photos of it in my next blog.

I hope you enjoy this week’s episode of ‘Potluck Samurai’.  I used an old story I originally called ‘Alien Love’ that had the coolest kitchen diorama, but I just couldn’t finish or write anything for hte story.   I was heartbroken when I couldn’t figure out how to publish it, so I’m thrilled to incorporate it into this story.  Potluck has been wonderful in letting me sift through the shelved trash bin of unfinished stories and redo them in the silliest ways.  It’s taught me that almost everything can be recycled into… something, so don’t throw it away, just wait until the right time comes along for it. Thanks so much for reading!!!

The next story will be ‘Claudia & Gerard’ and I don’t want to give away too much, so here are sneak peak photos with an artistic filter on them:

Potluck Samurai Episode 5 is UP!

The JatmanStories factory is back at full speed!  I’m not ready to post weekly yet, as I’m still building up my backlog.

I’m filming a new story, Claudia & Gerard, which could be 20-episodes long.  I’m super excited to rethink my first novel that I started writing 30 years ago. I tried for years to get it published, but it was never structured right to succeed.  I rewrote it 13 times (300+ pages rewritten to death, oye!).  Now, I’m trying to bring the characters new life keeping the basic structure of the story, but moving them up 30 years to 2020 to be a ‘love in the time of covid’ soap opera.  I want to get enough episodes filmed and written before I start posting.

I haven’t made up my mind yet I’ll start posting these before finishing the rest of Postluck Samura and Hotel M.  I’m trying to fininsh them, really, really.  It’s like Christmas when you open present 1 and present 2 is far more exciting… you kinda of forget present 1, so sorry.  I’ll keep you posted.  And I’ll eventually get back to all unfinished projects and finish them. I hate leaving stuff undone.

For today, here is Episode 5 of Potluck Samurai. Hope you like it.

Re-Release of Several Stories

I’ve been hard at work reformatting and at times renovating older stories that didn’t make it through the website’s renovation.  Party Girl is still being worked on for the last two episodes which should be up in a week or two.

I’m also working on 3 old reality show parodies from 2009: Husband Swap, Washed-up Rock Star Needs Love and Sugar Daddy Bachelor.  Those need extensive formatting, so give me a month or more to get them done.

Working on all of these has dipped my feet back into doll stories, as I’ve been in a serious writing slump, and just overall general funk in 2020.  It’s been almost impossible for me to be creative.

At the end of 2019 I took a break from doll stuff to start an at-home-business not knowing 2020 would the be the absolute worst year in history to attempt to throw around extra money into a small business until it takes off.  I had to close the business before it started, which also contributed to my funk.

Nowadays as the virus grows closer to home, and the air of uncertainty surrounds us all, I feel a smidge of hope that 2021 may get better.  I’m feeling thankful as hell to have a roof over my head, a job that pays my bills and no deaths in my family.

So, I’ve moved my diorama table back to the center of the room today, and I’m ponderng my next story to film.  Unless catastrophy hits me, I’m baaaack.  I’ll start working on building a back catalog of finished work so I can start posting weekly again.  You all deserve some entertainment in these exquisitely hard times, and I’m determined to provide.  I’m older, slower, and a bit sickly to be honest, so don’t expect the prolific, rapid productions like I used to muster up, but I’ll do my very best.    Thank you all for your glorious, positive comments, and for reading. It’s always appreciated.

Potluck Samurai Episode 4 Is Up!

My apologies, but I have to get serious for a moment. We’re in a apocalyptic time and the elephant in the room has stomped out all the furniture and air to breathe in.

Covid-19 has now entered my social circle.  I now know people that have died from it, are currently infected with it, and more that could be infected.  It’s an invisible, microscopic Terminator that can’t be bargained with, can’t be reasoned with, doesn’t feel pity or remorse, or fear and it absolutely will not stop, ever, until we snuff it out with all encompassing vaccine like the polio vaccine.

We all watch shows like ‘The Walking Dead’ and say to ourselves: “what would I do in that situation?”   I never would have guessed anyone would answer:  “I would deny that the zombies are infecting everyone, and demand that people to send their kids back to school where the zombies will get them.  I would go into stores and scream at uninfected people for running from zombies. Then I would picket and protest against having to follow any safety rules because it’s against the constitution and my personal freedoms.”

I used to think everyone would answer that they would do everything in their power to protect themselves and their family.  I took for granted that every living thing had an innate instinct for self-preservation that couldn’t be overwritten by belief, I was wrong.

I’m surrounded by people not wearing masks, saying things like: “it’s just like the flu, what’s the big deal”?   The big deal is the flu doesn’t create blood clots in every organ in your body, doesn’t cause strokes, heart attacks, liver damage, brain damage and memory loss, or force amputation of fingers, or limbs.  The flu also doesn’t cause permanent organ damage you have to live with for the rest of your shortened life.  The flu never killed 180,000 people in the USA or 805,588 world wide in 5 short months.

Here in the USA, we’re most likely going to hit or surpass 180,000 deaths today… that’s more American deaths than all these events combined:  911 (2,297 deaths), Middle East wars (7,160), Vietnam war (58,209), Korean war (36,516 ).

It’s already more than Word War 1 (118,000), and we’re supposed to hit 500,000 by December which is more than World War II (405,399 deaths).

The helplessness and frustration of not being able to convince people to live and let others live is not political.  You choose to live and help others, or you chose to die and kill others.  Choose life, please… please.

I had to say all this because I worry about everyone now, including all of you that read my stories.  I hope you’re all being safe for yourself and others. I don’t want anyone to suffer from this in any way.  My worst nightmare is not being able to breathe, and I wouldn’t wish that on any living soul.  Take care and know I’m wishing you all only the very best for your lives and that they be long and painless.

I hope you enjoy the story I just posted. It was written in happier times. We’ll have those again as soon as we get through this. And I’m sure we’re all going to enjoy and appreciate all the wonderful things in our lives so much more after all this is over.

Potluck Samurai Episode 4 is up!

I’ve finally posted the latest episode of ‘Potluck Samurai’.  Sorry it’s taking so long between episodes.  I’ve got serious writer’s block and can’t seem to get episodes 7 and 8 finished. I have another story after this I can’t write until I finish this one because they’re connected.

The world’s astonomical issues are weighing me down and killing all of my creative juices. It’s super hard to be funny right now.

Then there’s the guilt of putting up doll stories when I’m surrounded by so much pain and dying in a country that’s completely lost control of the Covid-19 pandemic.  I worry that I’m being disrespectful for ignoring the screaming elephant in the room. But there’s so much bad new, so much anguish that it’s hard to keep your sanity sometimes.

I need your input. Let me know if you want to keep seeing light-hearted stories and I’ll kick myself back into gear and finish these stories so I can post them.

‘Potluck Samurai’ Episode 2 Story is up!

Scroll down to the Episode 2 title, then click on it to start the slide show.

Sammy, my genius child character is going to create a comic story…. he’s going to try it a lot in the future episodes as well.

For the first time I’ve dug up old stories I previously filmed but never finished and left to die.

This is my potluck of crazy doll stories with words written from a child’s perspective, which has actually made them far more amusing that what I originally envisioned for them.

This has taught me, even creative ‘throw-aways’ can be re-used again, even in a collage format.  I hope you enjoy the episode. Thanks so very much for reading and have a wonderful weekend.
